Activities for families at Orleans House Gallery

Throughout the year we offer a wide range of family arts activities around the borough for babies and up.

These include regular weekly programmes, short courses, and annual family events.

We offer free places to some of our family programmes for those who are eligible.

Regular family programmes

  • See Saw - Drop-in sessions for families with children under 5 every Friday.
  • Family Explorers - Art sessions for under 5s and their carers every Thursday.
  • Dad Day - Workshops especially for Dads and under 10s, Saturdays, every second weekend of the month.
  • Sunday Afternoon Art - Drop-in creative art workshops for families every first Sunday of the month.
  • Draw and Explore - Free family art walks will adventure to a different local area each week.
  • My Richmond - Learn about the history of your local community through creative activities and games.
  • Sunday Afternoon Art - Drop-in creative art sessions for all the family on Sunday afternoons.

Annual family activities

  • Visit from the Easter Bunny (April) - The Easter Bunny returns for his annual visit to Orleans House Gallery on Thursday 13 April. Sessions take place from 10:30am to 12 noon and 2 to 3.30pm. Booking is essential.
  • Springtime Safari (May) – art and craft activities for families inspired by our local landscape and wildlife
  • Holi (March) – art activities for families at our annual festival of colour
  • Twickenham Carnival (June) – summer celebrations and art activities for families
  • Big Draw (October) – develop your drawing skills in our annual drop-in workshop for families exploring a different theme each year.
  • Santa and Family Christmas Activities (December) - festive fun and Christmas activities suitable for children aged 4 and up.
