Recycling sites
There are 111 recycling sites across the borough where residents can recycle a range of materials from cardboard and paper to glass bottles, plastic bottles and cans.

Adopt a recycling site scheme
Of the 111 recycling sites situated in the borough, of these 25 sites have been adopted by community groups in the area. In return for helping manage these sites, the Council offers a generous quarterly payment. If you are a member of a group who would like to get involved, please phone 08456 122 660 or email recycling@richmond.gov.uk.
Townmead Road, Re-use and Recycling Centre
Over 27 items can be re-used and recycled at the Townmead Road Re-use and Recycling Centre at Kew. These include more unusual items; such as fridges and freezers, ink and toner cartridges, mobile phones and paint, as well as garden waste and plastic bottles.
Neighbouring recycling centres
Please be aware that if you use the Recycling Centre (the tip) in Kingston for household waste, they are now charging non-residents. This is because Kingston are not part of the West London Waste Authority.
Spacewaye in Feltham, Hounslow is part of the West London Waste Authority and you can continue to use their site.
