Parks and open spaces

Richmond upon Thames has more green space than any other London borough, and we take pride in the work we do for people and wildlife in our parks and open spaces.

The Council's parks section maintains more than 100 parks, open spaces, commons and woodlands, which attract around five million visitors every year. We look after children's playgrounds, paddling pools, nature reserves and our wide range of sports pitches. Trees in the parks are maintained by the borough's tree officers.

We aim to provide something for everyone – and we hope you will find the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet stroll or take the kids out to play, a good site for a picnic or just a nice place to sit and watch the ducks.
