Community Safety Partnership Plan 2008-11
Designed around findings from the strategic assessment 2007
(pdf, 86KB) and objectives created by the Local Strategic Partnership and Government Office for London, the plan will form the basis for all works undertaken by the Community Safety Partnership to reduce crime and disorder across our borough.
Updated version
The Community Safety Partnership Plan 2008-11
(pdf, 125KB) set out on this page is not a glossy document - it is a working document that will be developed over the year. For this reason the work plans for each task group will also be made available on this page. These show the detailed work being carried out to achieve the objectives and targets set out in the Plan and will be updated regularly.
Consultation feedback
The Community Safety Partnership Plan will be updated in the New Year based on the findings of the
2008 Strategic Assessment
(pdf, 104KB)
The Assessment was unveiled at the stakeholders meeting on 12 November. The following presentations were also made.
- Domestic Abuse
(pdf, 60KB) - Work of the ASB Panel
(pdf, 60KB) - Operation Lock-Out
(pdf, 212KB) (results 2008) - The work of the CPP
(pdf, 177KB) (with regard to Community Engagement)
We consult through a number of established groups - the Community Police Partnership; Police Liaison Groups and community groups and fora.
We hold two stakeholder events per year, the next is on Wednesday 22 April 2009. If you would like to attend please email community.safety@richmond.gov.uk.
Results from past events
Issue: People feel put off by the jargon and abbreviations we use and feel patronised by having the glossary at the back of documents
Result: We try to avoid jargon and use the full name of an initiative/organisation the first time it is used in a document; a glossary has been added to these pages; and the glossary is at the front of the Community Safety Partnership Plan
Issue: Employment/training and housing should be central to care plans for substance misuse clients, not something added on after treatment
Result: We fed this into the national consultation on the new drugs strategy and it has been incorporated
Issue: Homophobic bullying and domestic abuse in same sex relationships were issues that weren’t being addressed locally
Result: The borough’s anti-bullying strategy group and the domestic abuse forum are now liaising with the LGBT forum over these issues
