The Fair Access Protocol ensures ‘hard to place’ pupils are admitted quickly to a school.
Our aim is to minimize the number of pupils who are at risk of underachievement by being out of school.
The Fair Access Protocol has been agreed by all state-funded secondary schools in the Borough (including academies), for the purpose of sharing 'hard to place' children more fairly between schools. This is to ensure that no school (including those with available places), is asked to take a disproportionate number of children with challenging behaviour, which includes children excluded from other schools.
