Kathy Gold (organiser of the flower festival at St Mary’s and St Alban’s Teddington) will hold a flower arranging demonstration and workshop.
Kathy will demonstrate three small arrangements and then work with you to make a small table arrangement.
Bring along a small supermarket mixed bunch of flowers and Kathy will provide the rest of the materials.
Jane Rose of Hand made in Hammersmith will host a workshop demonstrating how to make a simple lined zipped pouch and will show how this can be adapted as a pencil case or make-up case.
All materials will be provided for the session, though if you have a garment you would love to recycle cut out two pieces 21cm x 14cm for both the lining and outer.
Jane’s business is based around the concept of upcycling favourite garments or materials into new useful and creative articles. Through her you will learn this ingenious technique and be able to adapt your own things!
Skills required: you must be able to find your way around a basic sewing machine.
Celebrate the fantastic range of hand-crafted goods created locally.
