Festival of Local Crafting 2017

Our festival of local crafting is open to everyone. There are a range of craft events taking place at our libraries.

Breathe new life into old fabrics

Jane Rose of Hand made in Hammersmith will host a workshop demonstrating how to make a simple lined zipped pouch and will show how this can be adapted as a pencil case or make-up case.

All materials will be provided for the session, though if you have a garment you would love to recycle cut out two pieces 21cm x 14cm for both the lining and outer.

Jane’s business is based around the concept of upcycling favourite garments or materials into new useful and creative articles. Through her you will learn this ingenious technique and be able to adapt your own things!

Skills required: you must be able to find your way around a basic sewing machine.

This event is fully booked.
