Cancel your membership

You can request to cancel your membership by email or in person at the centre. We do not accept cancellation requests by phone.  

To request by email send the following details to membershipadmin@richmond.gov.uk:

  • Your full name(s)
  • Reason for cancelling
  • Richmond card number, if applicable
  • Date of when you wish to cancel

Please note that in order to stop the next payment due you are required to give notice before the 15th of the month. After the 15th a further payment will be drawn and the subsequent payment stopped.

Freeze your membership

We offer the option to freeze your membership for a minimum of one month and a maximum of six months. A monthly fee of £5 applies, unless your freeze request is due to medical circumstances in which proof would be required.

To freeze your membership please visit the centre and complete a freeze request form. Alternatively, email membershipadmin@richmond.gov.uk with your request.

Please note that in order to freeze your next payment due you are required to give notice before the 15th of the month. After the 15th a further payment will be drawn and the subsequent payment frozen.

Refunds will not be given where you have not notified us of your intention to freeze.

Change your membership

To change your membership please visit the centre to complete a change of membership form. Payment may be required if you are upgrading.

Change your bank details

To change your bank details please visit the centre to complete a new direct debit form.

Change my address/contact details

Please email membershipadmin@richmond.gov.uk.

Haven’t received your membership card

The Richmond Card is the membership card that we use. If you already had a Richmond Card this will have been updated.

If you do not have a Richmond Card then a new card will be requested. This takes around seven working days to arrive.

If after seven working days you still haven’t received your card, email membershipadmin@richmond.gov.uk or speak to the centre on 020 3772 2999.
