Mortlake CPZ consultation

In December 2007 / January 2008, the Council undertook a final stage consultation with residents and businesses of a number of roads in Mortlake.

The results of the consultation showed that there was support in a number of roads in the area. These results were reported to the Transport Consultative Group on 31 January 2008. After this meeting the Cabinet Member approved the implementation of the Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) to all roads included in the boundary for the CPZ.

Results of the consultation

The CPZ will come into operation on Monday 19 May 2008 and will operate between 9am and 11am, Monday to Friday.

This consultation closed on 29 June 2007.

The results of the consultation were reported to a special Transport Consultative Group (TCG) meeting on 10 July 2007 at the East Sheen Primary School, Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen.

Results of the consultation

A total of 2174 Consultation documents and questionnaires were distributed to all Residents and Businesses in the Mortlake Area.

48% of the questionnaires were returned (1048 questionnaires in total).

Based on the results, the Cabinet Member for Traffic and Transport (Councillor David Trigg) agreed:

• To progress a CPZ to the next stage, including the setting up of a parking working group of residents and business representatives to progress detailed design and advertise a traffic regulation order,
• To enable statutory consultation to take place prior to a decision being taken on those roads to be within a zone.
• To carry out a review six months after implementation, the review to include those areas adjacent to the zone.

The consultation results are by consultation question and presented in a street by street format.
