In Richmond upon Thames we acknowledge the vital role played by our wider school workforce in raising standards for children and young people in our borough schools.

We are committed to support all staff in achieving enjoyment and satisfaction in their roles whilst working more effectively.

Professional development and guidance

In Richmond upon Thames we provide our workforce with access to high quality professional development and guidance. Achieving for Children (the new Social Enterprise company created by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames to provide their children's services) supports and provides development opportunities in schools, at the Twickenham Training Centre and at other accessible venues around the borough.

All courses and development routes are advertised and updated on a regular basis, ensuring everyone in Richmond upon Thames’ wider workforce has access to professional development opportunities. A number of training courses currently available are provided in conjunction with local educational providers and supported by the Department for Education.

Children's Workforce Development team
