Release Date: 07 August 2018
An exhibition of playful work, co-created by and for children, is entering its final weeks on show at the Stables Gallery.
More than 1,600 people have visited the exhibition since it opened at the start of July, and if you haven’t been down to the Art Play: Fun Limited exhibition at Orleans House, you are encouraged do so before it closes on Sunday 2 September 2018.
The exhibition, by artist Jason Taylor, sees everyday objects transformed into opportunities for play. Jason's inventive use of materials asks visitors to look at ordinary objects in a new way. Whilst the main exhibition is presented indoors in the Stable Gallery, you can also see some fantastic play sculpture outdoors around the site.
Cllr John Coombs, said:
"I was delighted to be there for the opening of Art Play: Fun Limited last month and see first-hand the incredible, fun exhibition that Jason has put together.
"If you haven't had a chance to check out the exhibition yet, I do encourage you to go on down to Orleans House and have a look. Whilst you're there you can also visit the newly refurbished Octagon Room, and have a look at some of the other, more quirky exhibits the gallery has on show."
