Social Workers and Occupational Therapists looking for a new role are being invited to attend Richmond Council’s Adult Social Care Recruitment Fair in Twickenham on Friday 15 February.
Attendees will have the opportunity for on-the-spot interviews and job offers. Experienced Occupational Therapists and Social Workers, and post-ASYE Social Workers can attend the Fair, at York House in Twickenham, to learn more about the opportunities available, the Council’s values and the benefits of working in the west-London borough.
Vacant roles are within the Council’s Integrated Social Work and Occupational Therapy Locality Teams, Hospital Social Work Teams and Learning Disability Team. Hopeful candidates will have the chance to interview for roles on the day, and some may come away with a job offer.Councillor Piers Allen, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services and Health, said:
“We have many older people in our borough who rely on assistance and care provided by local council services. These residents’ quality of life depends on the expertise, professionalism and dedication of our wide care workforce. Richmond is a beautiful borough with a strong community ethos and I am delighted to welcome anyone wishing to work with us to the Recruitment Fair, to find out how they can make a difference to our residents’ lives.”
The SSA, the joint staffing arrangement between Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, attended the Compass Jobs Fair in November 2018, where they recruited three permanent roles and secured 77 interested applicants for 10 roles within the Newly Qualified Social Workers programme.
