Special walk in Kew Gardens available to 25 lucky local residents

Richmond upon Thames residents are being offered the fantastic opportunity to take part in an introductory walk around the newly restored Temperate House in Kew Gardens.

The opportunity to be one of the lucky 25 is available to those with a Richmond postcode. Each successful resident will be entitled to one walk and will need to pre-register.

Walks will take place at 2pm on Wednesday 4 July and Wednesday 1 August 2018, starting from Victoria Gate, and will last approximately an hour.

The lucky few will have free day entry to the gardens to enjoy after the walk is over.

Cllr Martin Elengorn, Cabinet Member for Environment, Planning and Sustainability, said:

“Decimus Burton’s Temperate House is a Grade I listed building and we are grateful to Kew Gardens for offering an opportunity to local residents to visit it as newly restored.”
