Assistant Cabinet Members team announced

Release Date: 21 May 2018

A team of councillors have been announced to provide additional support and capacity for the new Cabinet.

In order to widen member participation in Council business, nine Assistant Cabinet Members have been appointed to work with Cabinet Members.

They will undertake specific tasks and research and deputise at informal functions.

The Assistant Cabinet Members are not paid and do not have the ability to vote on Cabinet decisions.

Cllr Gareth Roberts, Leader Designate for Richmond Council, said:

“Over the next four years we have an ambitious plan to make the borough greener, safer and fairer. To help us achieve our ambitious plans this dedicated team of councillors will work alongside the cabinet – working with the community, businesses, the voluntary sector and local groups – to really make a difference to the borough.

“This is part of my commitment to ensure that every person has an opportunity to play their part in making the borough an even better place in which to live”.
