£34,500 raised for Mayor’s charities in 2017/18

More than £34,500 has been raised for Cavernoma Alliance UK, Me, Too & Co and Off the Record (Twickenham) during Lisa Blakemore’s term as Mayor of Richmond upon Thames.

Lisa Blakemore served as Mayor from 16 May 2017 to 22 May 2018 during which time she hosted dozens of events to support her chosen causes.

Ms Blakemore said:

“It has been a real privilege to serve as Mayor of Richmond upon Thames over the last twelve months. I have had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people and working with three fantastic charities during my tenure.

“To everyone who supported these causes by coming to an event, buying a ticket or donating in any way, I offer my sincere gratitude. These causes are close to my heart and to be able to donate this money to them is fantastic.”

Lisa Blakemore ended her term as Mayor of Richmond upon Thames at the Annual Full Council Meeting on 22 May 2018 and has been succeeded by Cllr Ben Khosa for the 2018/19 year.
