Have your say on Friars Lane car park improvements

Residents are invited to share their thoughts on an improvement scheme for Friars Lane car park in Richmond town centre.

Richmond Council has proposed to improve the popular car park with a series of changes to its design to help increase parking spaces for residents, increase security, reduce noise and pollution, and enhance the general look of the space.Improvements include but are not limited to:

  • Removing a section of damaged wall and constructing a new brick wall
  • Installing a barrier or raised kerb to prevent vehicles from damaging the new wall
  • Resurfacing the car park
  • Installing CCTV next to the station for pay and display machines
  • Removing unnecessary signage and clutter
  • Installing electric vehicle charging bays
  • Improving the provision of bins
  • Installing a parking area for bicycles and motorcycles
