Local Rotary Club thanks residents for their generosity

The Rotary Club of Twickenham upon Thames took to the streets of Twickenham and Whitton this Christmas and were overwhelmed by the kindness that they received and the donations received over the Christmas period.

The donations that form an essential part of the club's annual income and which will enable them to continue their work in the community assisting worthy causes in the coming months of 2022.The Christmas activities included walking the streets from 1 to 17 December 2021 and two Saturday static collections in Whitton High Street. Their evening activities included a Santa Claus mobile sleigh with Father Christmas.The end result was the huge sum of £10,089 which makes all the sore feet worthwhile.The Club is an evening club, started in 1978 and meets on a Monday evening.
