Room for Work charity offers career support for Richmond residents

Whether you're looking to re-enter the workplace or seeking a career change, local charity Room for Work are offering free career support.
This January, the charity will present two free career development courses for Richmond residents.
The Room for Work programme specialises in tailored, one-to-one mentoring provided by experts as well as personal career coaching.
Job searching can be a lonely activity. With the Room for Work format, you will be with likeminded people, using the power of community to build motivation and confidence.
The programme is for jobseekers aged 45 and over, with work experience ranging from administrative to managerial and professional roles.
To attend, participants will need:
- A laptop or tablet
- Access to the web
- A good working knowledge of English
- Basic computer skills
The 12-week course will take place in two locations in Richmond.
Hampton Wick event details:
- Dates: Monday 9 January to Friday 17 March
- Time: 10.30am to 1pm
- Location: The Warehouse, St John’s, Church Grove, Hampton Wick, KT1 4AL
Richmond Town Centre event details:
- Dates: Tuesday 10 January to Saturday 18 March
- Time: 10am to 12.30pm
- Location: Duke Street Richmond TW9 1DH

Alternatively, Richmond Council’s Work Match service offer the Room for Work programme which takes place virtually. The course is delivered online in 12 sessions over 6 weeks.
