Waste and recycling collections update - Friday 17 June

Due to the high temperatures forecasted for Friday 17 June, Richmond Council's household waste and recycling collections will start at the earlier time of 5.30am.
Following the issuing of a Level 3 Heat-Health Alert by the Met Office for much of the south east and eastern England, Richmond Council has agreed with it's waste contractor Serco that crews will commence collections earlier on Friday to complete rounds in advance of peak daytime temperatures to protect the health of collection crews.Residents are reminded to ensure their waste and recycling collections are placed outside their homes on time to ensure collections can be made at an earlier time. This also applies to garden waste collections.Check your collection day.Residents should take extra care to protect their health and the health of those around them during the period of hot weather.Find out more about keeping safe in the heat.
