The Dignity in Care Awards are back and open for nominations

14 March 2023

Do you know someone who should be recognised for the compassion and dignity with which they carry out their role as a paid carer or care worker? Nominate them today for a Dignity in Care Award.

We are very pleased to bring back our Dignity in Care Awards, after a couple years’ hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Dignity in Care Awards is an opportunity for the borough to recognise the dedication and professionalism of those who are champions in providing care and treating those they care for with the respect they deserve.

We are proud to be a Dignity Champion, as part of the Dignity in Care campaign led by the National Dignity Council.

As part of our Dignity Champion role, we are strongly committed to celebrating Dignity in Care and championing local care workers and personal assistants who go the extra mile to provide outstanding care and support to local residents.

These awards aim to promote and recognise the very best in care and support. They:

  • Recognise good quality care within the borough;
  • Raise awareness of Dignity in Care;
  • Inspire local care workers and personal assistants to deliver outstanding care and support; and
  • Reward and recognise those staff and teams that make a difference and go the extra mile

How to nominate

If you know someone who deserves recognition for what they do in this area, nominate them by Friday 14 April 2023!

You can nominate via our online form, or contact us at dignityincare@richmond.gov.uk to find out how to get a paper form.

Please make sure to read through the nomination criteria, as well as the National Dignity Council’s 10 Dignity Do’s, ahead of submitting.
