Hay fever in December? Yes, at the Mary Wallace Theatre

23 November 2021

Hay fever may have abated during the winter months but, in defiance of the December gloom, the Mary Wallace Theatre is heralding the Christmas season with Noel Coward's brightest and most summery comedy

Hay Fever, Coward's notoriously 'clean' play, which closely followed the scandalous success of the 'debauched' The Vortex in 1924, is as clean as a whistle, is packed with The Master's style, wit and charm and has been delighting audiences ever since. The unconventional Bliss family, Judith, David and their children Sorel and Simon, have each invited a guest for the weekend. Their bohemian lifestyle and tenuous grasp of the niceties of of conventional social behaviour bode ill for a harmonious weekend in a household where passions run only skin deep and insincerity is the order of the day.Laughter is infectious so come along and catch Hay Fever at the Mary Wallace Theatre on Twickenham's riverside, from Saturday 11 to Saturday 18 December at 7.45 with a 3pm matinees on Sunday 12 and Saturday 18 December 2021.Book now
