Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon 2015
COVID-19: Sports update - March 2021
Following Government guidance, our Sport and Fitness Centres (including pools) are now beginning a phased reopening.
We are currently following the Government's 'Roadmap' for the reopening of our services.
On Sunday 26 April, 46 athletes from across the Borough ran in the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon, tackling the last three miles of the London Marathon course as spectators lined the route cheering them on.
The athletes, all aged between 11 and 17, represented Richmond upon Thames as they competed against the other 32 London boroughs. This year the team came 4th overall (subject to final confirmation) putting them in the top five placed teams for the last eight years, an incredible achievement for the young athletes.
