There is something for everyone on offer in our parks and open spaces. 

Types of activities

Visit Friendly Parks for All to find out more about the types of facilities and activities available in our parks and open spaces. Other activities can be found in the event listings compiled by Habitats and Heritage.

Wellbeing walks

We have regular Health Walks and Wellbeing Walks throughout the borough which make use of parks and open spaces.

Accessible Wellbeing Walks are run in partnership with Richmond Borough Mind and Ruils. Please note that these organisations are separate from the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

We encourage participants to register for Accessible Wellbeing Walks as we need to know if they require assistance or a volunteer to push the wheelchair. For more information, contact outdoor.learning@outlook.com.

Forest Schools

Forest School is an innovative educational approach to outdoor play and learning that encourages and inspires individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences.

Forest School Leader Training

The OfQual regulated and Internationally recognised Forest School Leader (Level 3) and Forest School Assistant (Level 2) Training, run by GreenWise People.

Wild Play and Learning in Nature

Fun, inspiring Forest School and bush craft sessions run by Kingston Forest School, engaging all involved to connect and learn in nature. Use of tools, fire and shelter building, team games, natural crafts and creativity.

Forest School Workshops

Holiday Forest School Workshops for Alexandra Infant School and St. Paul's CofE Junior School run by Maria Sprostranova. Volunteering opportunities as Professional Development for local Teachers/TA's and all Professionals working with children and young people.
