Armed Forces Day takes place on Saturday 24 June 2023. This is a day to commemorate and show our support for the people and services in the British Armed Forces.
Over the last 18 months, we have seen many public events in which our forces have played their traditional public role of honouring our late Queen, and today, King Charles III; but sometimes our defence services are less visible.
Defence has been performed by training thousands of Ukrainian troops in order for them to hold back the Russian forces invading Ukraine and threatening the United Kingdom.
Defence is quietly carried out by using cyber skills to defend our government, industry, and the NHS. The role is happening in various specialist groups throughout our services.
As Armed Forces Day approaches, it is important that we think about their services, both present and past, honouring and supporting them.
