Local student recognised in Mayor of London's Clean Air Day Challenge

Community news on behalf of The German School London | 29 June 2023

A 13-year-old pupil from The German School London in Richmond was selected as one of ten winners of the Clean Air Day poster design challenge, from more than 630 children in 83 schools across London.

In this year's Mayor of London poster design challenge to mark Clean Air Day, school children were tasked with illustrating 'What Clean Air Means to Me', using their creative talents to help tackle London's air pollution. There were several entries from schools across Richmond upon Thames.

The winners were announced on Clean Air Day (15 June), and the winning designs will be featured on display boards across the capital, as well as Mayoral social media channels. You can view the winning entry from Richmond below, and keep an eye out for it while you are out and about!

We congratulate the winning artist and all those who took part and submitted entries in support of Clean Air Day 2023.

Fresh air is good for our hearts
