Windham Nursery School celebrates its 75th anniversary

Community news on behalf of Windham Nursery School | 26 June 2023

Windham Nursery School celebrated its 75th anniversary with a summer fair at its grounds, which all past, current and future families were welcome to join.

Windham is the only maintained nursery in the borough of Richmond and has been consistently rated by Ofsted as Outstanding since 2002.

The fair was also attended by members of the school's governing body, who took the opportunity to bid farewell to Windham's two longest serving governors, Steve Tedbury and Cherry Baker, who are stepping down at the end of the academic year; between them, they have served more than 70 years as governors at Windham.

This year also sees another milestone for Windham Nursery, as Jo Berry will be stepping down from her role as Head of Jigsaw after 20 years. She has been instrumental in the creation of Jigsaw, Windhams SEND provision.

Local families who would like to send their wishes can contact the nursery at info@windham.richmond.sch.uk.
