Money Advice Roadshow comes to Ham
2 April 2025
Residents can come along on Tuesday 22 April to get free advice from experts on making their money go further.
This is the second Richmond Money Advice Roadshow. It will take place between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Tuesday 22 April at Ham Youth Centre, Ham Hall, TW10 7PL.
We will be on hand with local organisations to help people with:
- Getting discounts on water and mobile phone bills
- Accessing money to help with energy bills
- Checking you're receiving all the government benefits you're eligible for
- General financial advice
Attendees can also enjoy refreshments courtesy of the Real Junk Food Project’s pay-as-you-feel café as well as taking home supplies from their surplus food hub.
Richmond Food Bank, which provides three days' worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food to eligible residents, will also be on hand. This service is offered by the Trussell Trust, a nationwide network that helps combat poverty and food insecurity across the UK. To access provisions from the food bank, you need a food voucher. To obtain a voucher, view a list of referrers.
We have dedicated £4.5 million to support residents, voluntary sector organisations, and community groups with rising costs.
Councillor Gareth Roberts, Leader of Richmond Council, said: “In these challenging times, we understand the financial strain many of our residents are experiencing. That's why we are dedicated to ensuring every individual in our community has access to the necessary support to overcome these difficulties and thrive.
“Our aim is to empower every resident to take full advantage of the support and resources available. We encourage everyone to join us at Ham Youth Centre to find out more about what’s on offer locally.”
Visit the Richmond Cost of Living Hub for the latest information on what is available nationally and locally as well as details of the borough’s network of Community Spaces and free support calculator.
You can also sign up to receive cost of living support updates straight to your inbox.
Any Richmond resident is welcome to attend the roadshow. Entitlement to support and funds may be subject to eligibility criteria.
