Shows and events not to miss at The Exchange

The Exchange has announced its summer 2025 programme featuring another season packed with theatre, talks, comedy, film and family events.

The following events will be held at The Exchange on 75 London Road in Twickenham, TW1 1BE.

Musical performances

On 1 May, The Exchange is delighted to be hosting Leee John of Imagination on his 40th Anniversary tour. He will be playing from his back catalogue of soul classics.

Other musical performances come from the Marquee Club All Stars, featuring Mel Gaynor from Simple Minds, who will play a musical tribute to the iconic Marquee Club on Saturday 31 May.

In the theatre, the hard-hitting play "Doorman", written by Geoff Thompson, will also run for two nights on 7 and 8 May, directed by Michael Vale and performed by Richie McDonald.

Festival hub for Richmond Arts & Ideas Festival 2025

The Exchange has been selected as a festival hub for Richmond Arts & Ideas Festival 2025 from 13 to 29 June. It celebrates the theme of cultural reforestation, featuring a variety of dance, music, exhibitions and theatre events exploring our relationship with nature.

The Exchange will host an immersive art installation in the main theatre, Fading, as well as two other installations in smaller spaces – Sound Roots on 22 June and Exchange With Nature on 28 and 29 June. Other environmentally themed events include films Microcosmos, the 2025 Oscar winning, FLOW and the Grass Roots acoustic session with bands from local youth charity, The Basement Door.

Family entertainment

Family entertainment runs throughout the summer with regulars, the monthly Saturday Family Film Club, Bring Your Own Baby Comedy and Comedy Club 4 Kids. Plus, holiday shows in the theatre including The Museum of Marvellous Things on 15 and 16 April based on the book by Kristina Stephenson.

Other performances include the 5-star show, Teach Rex Live! on 18 May, Top Secret - The Magic of Science at half term on 29 May and the cast of The Great Belzoni return with another whodunit from 27 to 29 June.
