Orleans House Gallery launches winter celebrations

On Friday 1 December the gallery launched their winter celebrations with an opening reception for The Winter Show. 

The borough’s thriving arts community was celebrated by Councillor John Coombes, spokesperson for Arts, in his welcoming speech to the assembled guests. 

Entertainment for the launch event was provided by talented young artists in bands that are part of the Powerjam Band Project, a local not-for-profit band academy for teens and tweens.

The Winter Show showcases over 70 local artists working in a variety of ways from landscapes to portraits, abstract works to ceramics, and much more.

Each artwork on display is original, for sale and made in the borough and illustrates how Orleans House Gallery supports and nurtures local artists. 

The Winter Show is on until Sunday 28 January 2024.
