Find out what’s on this Repair Week
26 February 2026
Repair Week (2 to 8 March) is a celebration of repair. Explore where you can pick up new skills, fall back in love with your stuff, and save money while helping the planet.
From hands-on workshops, to exploring our new repair and reuse community hub, The Fixery, Repair Week is all about getting involved in repair.
Find out where you can get things fixed the borough, learn new skills and build confidence to fix, mend, and make things last.
The Fixery
On Saturday 7 March, come along to celebrate the opening of The Fixery and the completion of the Grove Gardens Chapel restoration with Habitats & Heritage.
The Fixery will be offering repair services, opportunities to refresh your wardrobe, buy pre-loved items and craft supplies, and grab a coffee and snacks from our on-site café.
You can also see the beautifully restored chapel and join in the family-friendly activities from Habitats & Heritage, including treasure hunts, mindfulness workshops and nature conversation taster sessions, and more.
- Date: Saturday 7 March 2026
- Time: 11am to 4pm
- Location: Grove Gardens Chapel, Richmond
There are a range of options to get to the chapel and we encourage sustainable travel (public transport, cycling and walking) where possible.
View Grove Gardens Chapel on Google Maps.
Twickenham Repair Café
On Friday 6 March, Twickenham Repair Café is hosting a free pop up event at Patch, 42 York Street, TW1 3LJ.
Bring along broken household items, and experienced volunteer fixers will help revive your small electricals, gadgets, textiles, toys, bikes and household bits – you can sit with them, learn the tricks and hopefully take home a newly repaired item.
Capacity for on the spot fixes will be limited at this session. Register for the repair café pop-up to let them know you’re coming or just drop by.
If you need more time or specialist support, attend the group’s full Repair Café events at St Margarets Church Hall, TW1 1RL on 21 February, 21 March, and every third Saturday of the month.
As one of our climate action microgrant recipients, the Café has carried out 3,000 repairs and saved 3.8 tonnes from landfill over a four-year period. Find out more about Twickenham Repair Café.
At the pop-up event, the Library of Things crew will be demoing items like the sewing machine, tile cutter and DIY kit, so you can see how easy it is to tackle repairs at home (and borrow the gear yourself!).
If you’re looking to explore your love of crafting and repairing in your own time, the Library of Things in Twickenham can be very useful. They have sewing machines, drills, jigsaws, and a range of tools available to borrow. You can also enjoy a 15% discount off your first rental using the code TKLOT15.
Kew The Transition
On Saturday 7 March, take that broken bike out of the garage and bring it to Kew the Transition’s Repair & Share – bike service special at St Luke’s Church, TW9 2AJ.
Volunteer repairers will help with bike servicing and small household fixes in a warm, community minded setting. It’s your chance to reduce waste, learn new skills, and connect with neighbours over practical action and homemade treats.
