Community-driven charity OneRichmond has recently announced the appointment of Sue Martineau as its new director.
Sue brings over three decades of leadership experience spanning both corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Her extensive background includes strategic business development, governance, and high-level stakeholder engagement - making her ideally suited to lead OneRichmond into its next chapter of growth and impact.
"I am honoured to be joining OneRichmond and excited to work alongside such a passionate board of trustees," said Sue Martineau.
"I believe in the power of community, and I’m deeply committed to developing programmes and raising funds that will deliver measurable, lasting change for local people. I’m also thrilled to be working closely with Richmond Foundation and Hampton Fund - two organisations whose commitment to tackling inequality and supporting the borough is truly inspiring."
OneRichmond's Chair of Trustees, Stephen Speak, commented: "Sue’s impressive track record of innovation, leadership, and community links is an exceptional match for OneRichmond. We are delighted she is joining the charity and that under her guidance, OneRichmond will continue to grow, develop wider recognition and respond effectively to the hidden needs of our borough."
Dedicated to supporting local initiatives and empowering individuals across the borough, OneRichmond was established by two well-known local funders, Richmond Foundation and Hampton Fund, to address inequality and hardship across the borough. With additional support from City Bridge Foundation, these partners together fund the charity’s operating costs, enabling OneRichmond to focus its resources on building a more inclusive, connected, and supportive Richmond community.
