Help Richmond residents feel ‘Full of Life’ this October
13 July 2026
Richmond Council is inviting local community groups, charities and organisations to apply for small grants to help older residents get moving, meet new people and take part in activities that support them to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
The Full of Life Fund is back for its sixth year, offering grants of up to £250 to for activities happening in October 2026. The funding is available to local organisations to produce events that celebrate ageing well and help residents stay active, socially connected, and independent.
Councillor Piers Allen, Chair of the Adult Social Services, Health and Housing Committee and Richmond’s Health and Wellbeing Board, said:
“We want everyone in Richmond upon Thames to live healthier and happier lives, and the Full of Life Fund events are a wonderful way to help make that happen.
“Local groups know their communities best. Whether it is a gentle exercise class, a digital support session, a social coffee morning or a creative activity, this funding can help bring people together and make a real difference to residents’ wellbeing. I encourage organisations working with older people to apply and help make this October full of connection, activity, and support.”
The programme runs alongside International Day of Older Persons and Silver Sunday, as well as the borough’s much-loved Full of Life Fair, which will take place at Twickenham Stadium on Friday 30 October 2026. The annual fair brings together local information, services, and activities to support older residents and carers to live long, healthy and happy lives.
