Join us for all-ability sports and activities at Active Hampton

Active Hampton is already proving popular with residents, and there is plenty more to look forward to over the coming months. 

From inclusive sports sessions to new community activities, the former Hampton Youth Centre is becoming a welcoming place for people of all ages and abilities to get active, try something new and connect with others. 

Free taster day 

On Friday 31 July, we are running a taster day of activities to celebrate National Play Day. Sessions are open to all ages and abilities, with all equipment provided and instructor-led coaching available. It’s a great opportunity to try something new, enjoy the facilities and pick up some basic skills. No booking is required, just pop in and join the fun on the day.

• Times: 10am to 12 noon: Pickleball session, 12 noon to 2pm: Badminton session

Inclusive sports sessions 

This September at Active Hampton, we’re welcoming the Multicultural Richmond Social Hub as well as walking football, social badminton and a Sporting Memories group for older people living with dementia. 

Come along, get active at your own pace and meet like-minded people in a welcoming space that supports movement, memories and new connections.

Active Hampton: your new community hub 

We’re pleased to see residents enjoying Active Hampton, with more than 500 visits since it opened eight weeks ago. Our seven-day timetable covers a range of activities including Mini Kickers football for toddlers to Age UK pickleball for over-55s, with Harlequins' wheelchair rugby and junior coaching. 

Active Hampton is a growing hub shaped with our local partners, with an open invitation for residents to get involved. We’d love to hear your ideas on how Active Hampton can continue developing as a welcoming, active and community-driven space. Find out more on the Active Hampton site.
