Richmond on screen: what’s been filmed in Richmond upon Thames?
23 July 2026
It’s been a busy few months for film and TV in Richmond upon Thames, with many of the borough’s locations featuring in massive worldwide productions – even at the World Cup Final (ish).
Check out some of what the borough has been in recently, what’s coming soon, and how you can stay on top of what’s happening.
Ted Lasso series 4 - Apple TV
Two of Richmond’s most famous icons popped up at the World Cup Final half-time show last Sunday, ahead of the beloved Apple TV show returning to screens in just under two weeks.
Premiering on 5 August, Richmond will once again welcome Ted as he takes on a brand-new challenge coaching the club's newly established second-division women’s team.
Alice and Steve - Disney+
Described as ‘raucously funny’ and ‘hilarious’, Hulu’s six-episode comedy drama starring Nicola Walker (Spooks, Unforgotten), Jermaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and Joel Fry (Game of Thrones, Plebs) was filmed in Ham, Twickenham and East Sheen.
Alice and Steve’s 25-year-long friendship becomes strained when Steve starts dating Alice's daughter.
Heartstopper Forever
The follow up feature film to Netflix’s smash hit filmed at York House back in July of last year and was released last week.
Check out the Heartstopper Forever trailer.
Bait - Amazon Prime
Written by and starring Riz Ahmed, Bait’s first episode has scenes filmed outside Twickenham Studios. These scenes start a strange spiral of events for a struggling actor from a west London Pakistani Muslim family, as he auditions to become James Bond.
Ludwig - BBC
We welcomed David Mitchell and the crew of Ludwig series 2 back to the borough in Ham in October and November of last year. The new series is due to be released on the BBC in August.
Have a first look at Ludwig series 2.
