Exciting book event for your little one this summer

Community news on behalf of Barnes Children’s Literature Festival | 11 June 2024

This June marks the 10th birthday of the Barnes Children’s Literature Festival. Come along on 22 and 23 June for book readings, workshops and performances.

The festival will feature talks led by national treasure Michael Rosen, beloved bestselling author Jacqueline Wilson, the superstar creator of the Tom Gates series, Liz Pichon, 'Horrible' historian, Greg Jenner, renowned cartoonist Chris Riddell and Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler, and more!

The event will also highlight the London launch of Taskmaster Club, based on the popular comedy panel game show, and family-friendly theatre performances including Paddington Bear’s First Concert, The Velveteen Rabbit family concert, The Magic Rainbow Fish and The King’s Pants children's opera.

Children will also have the opportunity to participate in creative writing, comics, and art and craft activities, with lots of free things to do too.
