Design a poster for display in Germany, France and Richmond
24 June 2024
Calling all of our young artists! Local students are invited to take part in an exciting summer poster competition to celebrate the reaffirmation of our twinning agreement with Germany and France.
The reaffirmation of Richmond’s twinning with the towns Fontainebleau in France and Konstanz in Germany takes place every five years, with great celebrations. In 2025, it’s Richmond’s turn to host an exciting weekend of festivities.
We need the help of local students aged 16 and under with an artistic flair to help us bring this celebration to life through a poster design.
The winners will be invited to a special Mayoral event in the autumn term, and the winning and commended posters will be exhibited leading up to and during the twinning celebrations.
The overall winning poster design will be used as the basis for publicity of festivities in June 2025 across the whole borough, and in France and Germany. These will include sports fixtures, concerts, plays, dancing, art exhibitions, marching bands, parades and picnics - a great opportunity for budding artists!
