Fix your broken items at Twickenham Repair Café

On Saturday 15 June, residents are invited to repair and extend the lives of their broken and old items for free.

Hosted by local group Twickenham Repair Café, the monthly event offers free repairs to items such as iPads, clocks, lawn mowers, coffee machines, bikes and even sharpen garden shears. 

Residents are also welcome to donate tools. The Twickenham Repair Café is collecting them for Tools with a Mission (TWAM), a charity that refurbishes unwanted usable tools, sorts them into trade tool kits and sends them to the developing countries to support livelihood creation.

Twickenham Repair Café is a non-profit community interest company that aims to promote sustainable living through providing free repair services. They have saved over 5 tonnes of wastes in the past 19 months. 

To support community-driven initiatives around climate change and sustainability, residents and community groups are encouraged to apply for the Council's climate action microgrant programme which awards grants every month.
