Upcycle your old garments into unique new creations

Community news on behalf of Yukiko Munemoto | 3 June 2024

Residents are invited to bring damaged or old clothes and textiles to repair or upcycle at a free mending workshop on Friday 28 June in Twickenham.

Needlework instructor Yukiko Munemoto, the host, aims to promote sustainable living through this workshop that will use the traditional Japanese stitching technique of Sashiko.

Upcycling and repairing extends the useful life of materials, reduces the demand for new products, and minimises the volume of waste.
