Catch Shakespeare's Merry Wives in York House Gardens

From 13-18 July, the Richmond Shakespeare Society's annual open-air show returns to York House Gardens.

This year's show is The Merry Wives of Windsor, the monumental Sir John Falstaff's sally into pure comedy after the trials and turmoil of Henry the Fifth's wars.

Hard-up and looking for an easy billet, the fat knight sets his sights on a likely pair of Windsor's merry wives. But it is Sir John's misfortune that these sharp-witted women have plans of their own, and what follows is a riot of portly romance, midsummer mischief and riotous comedy.

Bring the family, a rug and a picnic to York House fabulous Fountain Gardens in Twickenham and experience a fabulous evening of outdoor Shakespeare - and Falstaff - at their very best.
