Free sessions to improve your home’s energy efficiency

7 March 2025

This March, sign up for two insightful workshops exploring how to reduce your property’s carbon emissions, boost energy efficiency and heat your home sustainably, supported by our climate action microgrants scheme.

Heat pump in our homes

Come along to this free talk to hear about heating homes sustainably and replacing gas boilers with domestic heat pumps to reduce carbon emissions.

Michael de Podesta - a local resident, former Principal Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory and specialist in temperature measurement - will host the talk. He will explain how heat pumps work functionally and in real homes, using stories from local people who have installed them.

  • Date: Thursday 13 March 2025
  • Time: 6.30 to 8.30pm
  • Location: Hampton Hub, 3 Ashley Road, TW12 2JA

Register for the heat pumps in our homes talk.

Green retrofitting workshop

This fun, interactive workshop will focus on all things green retrofit, which is the process of refurbishing an existing building in a small or big way to make it more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Through game play and collaborative discussion, participants can expect to accelerate their understanding of retrofitting, as well as the benefits and barriers, and think about actions they might take to make their own properties more energy efficient.

  • Date: Thursday 20 March 2025
  • Time: 4 to 7pm
  • Location: York House, Twickenham, TW1 3AA

Email organiser Rutang Thanawalla at RutangT@gmail.com to RSVP. Places are very limited, so book early!
