Cakes and cargo bikes are coming to Barnes

Community news on behalf of Cargo Collective | 7 May 2026

Fed up of getting stuck in traffic driving the kids around? Do you worry about how you’re going to fit in the nursery drop off, the school drop off and get into the office? Come and chat to local parents on 15 May about cargo bikes and how they can revolutionise your family journey.

About Cargo Bikes

The ultimate parenting hack, these bikes can carry up to four children as well as all their 'stuff'. They are electric, which means tackling hills, dropping the kids to school and then heading into work has never been easier.

Richmond Cargo Collective event

Think of it as a speed dating event between families who are thinking about buying a cargo bike and local families who have already taken the plunge.

You'll be able to test ride some different bikes and chat about how they are working out for families. Find out first hand the answers to all the questions you may have; like how to charge them, store them, secure them.

To join, simply come along with your kids for an after school chat, free cake and cargo bikes

Event details:

  • Date: Friday 15 May
  • Time: Between 3 and 5.30pm
  • Location: Vine Road Rec, Vine Road, SW13 ONE
