Grants of up to £500 to support people to stay well and healthy this winter

Community news on behalf of South West London NHS | 7 November 2023

Could you run an event or activity to support people to stay healthy this winter? Funding is available to support you.

South West London NHS is funding local community and voluntary organisations to run an activity or event to support local communities to stay healthy and well during winter – and to help us collect feedback from people.

If you applied for the Winter Engagement Fund last year, SW London NHS would love to hear from you again. They are open to ideas about different types of events or activities – the grants are to make sure that information about local health and care services and support are available at those activities or events, such as vaccinations, cost of living support and mental health services. All information and training will be made available to support you.

The funding could be used for an activity or event you have already organised to take place this Winter – and help cover some of the costs, such as increasing it in size or numbers attending or incentivising people to participate. All activities and events will need to be delivered by February 2024.

A grant of up to £500 is available per organisation.

If you’re interested, apply now. More information about the process can be found on the NHS South West London website.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 20 November.

Alternatively, please contact training@cvalive.org.uk and who would be happy to support. This year, the South West London Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Alliance is managing the grant process on behalf of South West London NHS - via Croydon Voluntary Action.

The VCSE Alliance aims to:

  • Be a link between local voluntary and community sector organisations and other partners within our ICS
  • Share valuable insight and information to support and promote shared learning and collaboration across the different partners
  • Be a strategic partner within the ICS and support the transformation of health and care services for local people.
