Free food waste caddy liners now available at local libraries

19 November 2024

We want to help make food waste recycling even easier. You can now pick up a free roll of compostable caddy liners from your local library or the Civic Centre in Twickenham.

With the holidays right around the corner and festive meals being planned, we’re here to ensure you’re prepped with everything you need to conveniently recycle your food scraps, including plenty of caddy liners to get you through the season.

From 18 November, pick up your free compostable liners from your nearest library

All houses with front gardens and/or driveways already receive weekly food recycling collections and should have both internal and external caddies to use the service. If you live in one of these and haven’t got yours, please order a caddy online

Our food recycling service is continuing to expand to even more properties around the borough with communal waste and recycling bins. For everything you need to know about easily recycling food waste, including how to leave your food waste out for collection, ordering your caddy, what you can and can’t recycle and how to contact our team with questions, visit our food waste recycling page.

Want to cut down on food waste and save money? We’ve got a lot of simple tips and useful resources to help you make the most of every meal.

You can also find plenty of information on the Eat Like a Londoner website, which offers advice on getting the most out of your weekly shop, recipes for cutting food waste, and tips and tricks to stop your food ending up in the bin.
