Join the stage and be part of Terence Rattigan's comedy

Community news on behalf of Richmond Shakespeare Society | 4 November 2024

On Monday 4 and 11 November, Richmond Shakespeare Society is holding a prior reading and open auditions at The Mary Wallace Theatre.

The local charity will present Terence Rattigan's 1943 comedy in March 2025 and is holding open auditions this month. Auditions are open to all. Come along and read for a role, or to become involved in the backstage organisation of the production.

In Terence Rattigan's charming, light-hearted comedy While the Sun Shines, Lady Elanor Randall is due to marry the Earl of Harpenden when she finds herself being romanced by two other suitors - a Frenchman and an American lieutenant. Add an ex-girlfriend of the groom to the mix, and you have all the ingredients of a delightful evening of complex comedy.

The prior reading will take place on Monday 4 November 2024 at 7.45pm. The open auditions will take place on Monday 11 November 2024 at 7.45pm.
