Electrifying reads for young adults now available at your local library

The Current, an annual book list for young people aged 15 and above, is now live! Starting from Friday 18 October, our Library team will release a series of six videos to guide you through the titles. 

This year, our Library team has selected a diverse mix of genres for The Current book list, including crime, fantasy, coming of age, rebellion and more. These engaging reads are our favourite young adult novels published in the previous twelve months. They are now available to reserve and borrow across the borough. Many are also available via our Digital Library.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the choices, visit our Library YouTube channel for a series of six videos where our librarians discuss the titles and give reading recommendations. The videos will be released on 18, 22, 25, and 29 October and 1 and 5 November. Each video will cover five books within a genre.
