Walking on fire is not mission impossible with Skylarks
Community news on behalf of Skylarks Charity | 30 October 2024
On Saturday 16 November, the local charity is hosting a fundraising Firewalk in Hounslow. There will also be a Lego Walk challenge for children and young people.
Whether you’re seeking a personal challenge, a bonding experience with friends, or an exciting team-building event, the Skylarks Firewalk is a unique opportunity to push your limits while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with additional needs in our community.
Firewalking is an ancient tradition and a powerful rite of passage in many cultures. Participants will walk barefoot over coals reaching up to 550 degrees celsius. Before the main fire walk event, participants will take part in a 90-minute preparation session to learn everything they need to know about safely walking over hot coals. This experience is professionally guided, leaving you with nothing but excitement and the feeling of accomplishment.
Led by Chris Jones, a certified firewalking instructor and filmmaker currently directing Mission: Impossible 8, this safe and empowering experience will draw on Chris' expertise, having guided thousands through this incredible challenge.
