Become a volunteer health walk leader with Ramblers Wellbeing Walks

Join the friendly team and help lead our weekly program of walks all around the borough!
As a walk leader you will be helping people in your local community to get active and healthy in a friendly and social outdoor setting. Regular walking is beneficial for both physical and mental wellbeing, with the social elements of group walking providing crucial opportunities for connection.
The role will involve leading group walks, providing support and encouragement to walkers, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for participants.
Volunteer walk leaders will be provided with help and support to fulfil the role. You will also benefit from the role by staying active, developing leadership skills, getting to know your local area more and meeting lots of new people!
Volunteer walk leaders should:
- Be able to commit to leading walks on a rota basis, once or twice a month
- Be able to comfortably walk for 60 to 90 minutes
- Possess a love of walking
Ramblers Wellbeing Walks Richmond upon Thames are looking for front leaders, back markers and walk assistants. All training is provided for the role. If you are interested please email parks@richmond.gov.uk.
