Take part in earth education workshop and training this September

Whether you're an environmental and outdoor educator or simply passionate about our planet, you can join GreenWise People’s earth education workshop and forest school leader and assistant training.

Continuous professional development workshop

In collaboration with Earth Education UK and facilitated by ecological educator, international trainer and author Jon Cree, this outdoor workshop will look at how to develop a programme of earth education activities. It will particularly focus on ecological concepts, our connection to all living things, understanding how the Earth works, and how we as humans fit into those ecological processes.

  • Date: Saturday 14 September 2024
  • Time: 9.30am to 5pm

Forest school leader and assistant training

Led by Maria Sprostranova, founder of GreenWise People, the training is Ofqual regulated, internationally recognised and valid for life. It is equivalent to a BTEC - the awarding body is ITC First.

The programme will explain the potential of woodlands and the outdoors for child learning and development. It will explore ways to plan outdoor projects, sessions and activities, and discover methods to teach and facilitate the development of practical skills, including fire making, knots, cooking on an open fire and more. Whether you are considering a career change or simply wish to take your facilitation outdoors, this training is for all.
