Join the Richmond Police WhatsApp channel and receive updates in your community

Community news on behalf of Richmond Police | 9 September 2024

Residents are invited to follow the Richmond Police WhatsApp channel for updates on local policing, crime prevention and information on live incidents that affect the area.

You can join by clicking on the channel's homepage - if you already have WhatsApp installed, you will be taken directly to the channel.

You can also join by opening and scanning the QR code using your smartphone's camera.

This channel will operate as a virtual notice board, with contact information for local ward teams available through their own channels listed in the ‘welcome’ information, along with links to all 18 Richmond wards.

Your privacy is ensured as subscriber details are not shared with either administrators or other followers. The channel only allows organisers to see the total number of subscribers without sharing their information, ensuring compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The channel cannot be used to report crime or incidents, but provides information on how to do so by calling 999 or 101, or using the Met Police website to report online where appropriate.

For more information, contact your local ward team.
