Music, food and family fun at Moormead Community Picnic

Community news on behalf of Moormead Community and Sports Pavilion | 2 September 2026

Meteorological summer may have ended, but the summer vibes continue in Moormead Park with the annual Community Picnic on Sunday 6 September from 11.30am to 3.30pm.

Bring a blanket, bring the family and enjoy an afternoon of live music, performances, games and great local food – including the chance to try your hand at camel racing!

Local performers include Marble Hill Dance School, Perrin Jazz Collective, Penny Lynch, Alex Driver and Joshua Jarvis, with food from Doughful Turkish Pancakes, Isaac’s Coffee and Spice Up, plus candy floss, popcorn and ice cream.

The Moormead Community & Sports Pavilion volunteer team will also be there throughout the day with the latest news on plans for the new pavilion and what happens next.

Come along, meet friends and neighbours and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the park.
